JUST A FEW OF THE THINGS I WON'T TRAVEL WITHOUT!
SUNGLASSES
They're expensive, but for a good reason. They're extremely durable and alway last a solid 5+ years (only because that's around the time I finally break a lens). The Wayfarer style is timeless and never goes out of fashion. I'm probably on my third pair. I never go anywhere without my polarized Ray Bans!
PURSE
Don't get me wrong, I love my Lululemon crossbody bag, but sometimes it's too small. I almost always have a bottle of water on me and hate having to carry it. This bigger bag allow for more than the bare necessities and is inexpensive enough to buy in different colors!
LUGGAGE
I've been guilty of overpacking in the past, but I've watched enough videos and saved enough pins suggesting capsule wardrobes that I've been making it a new rule to only bring a carry-on and a bag to go under the seat. This set is super cute and very functional. I love that you can expand the duffel bag and it has a sleeve to slip over the suitcase handle (a must-have feature for your carry-on luggage)!
PACKING ACCESSORIES
I've tried packing many different ways and find it most effective to roll my clothes in packing cubes. It saves time when you're searching and makes it easy to pack for a weekend trip in nothing more than a carry-on! I absolutely love this set created by travel vloggers Tim & Fin (I actually booked our trip to Greece based on their recommendations!)
MISC.
Okay, so this is a major luxury, but it's also a good idea if either (1) you tend to "sleep hot," or (2) have hair that tangles easily. But lets be honest, no one wants to rub their face all over a pillowcase shared by strangers. Treat yo' self with this one, ladies. You deserve it!
PHONE ACCESSORIES
While I love having a bigger crossbody bag when going through the airport and shopping, I prefer to carry around as little as possible when going out to eat or hitting the bars. When this fashionable strap is paired with my Walli case, I don't need to worry about carrying a purse or any other kind of bag, plus this way my phone is handy for quick photographs!
ELECTRONICS
If you're like me, you're tired of having to pack multiple chargers and cords, and tired of your spouse (who didn't pack a thing) always using your charger when you need it. This power bank has been a lifesaver! Not only does it save you from having to search for the right type of charger, it has a fast charging feature
PACKING ACCESSORIES
I've had this set for so long that I've lost some of the accessories. The zero-waste design of the rubber shampoo/soap bottles allow for optimal product and the little jars are great for things like moisturizer and pills. It's inexpensive enough that you'll want a set for everyone in your family!
BEACH ACCESSORIES
This gem folds into itself to become the size of a woman's billford. I like to bring it on a trip folded, then use on the beach (it's huge!) and as a carry-on on the way back for any treasures I've purchased while on vacation. It's easy to clean as it's nylon, so you don't have to worry about it getting wet or full of sand!
LUGGAGE
This one is for the men who think they're too masculine to pull a rolling suitcase. I've ordered several of these for gifts and find them both handsome and roomy. Great for a weekend trip and will fit in the overhead bin.
LUGGAGE ACCESSORIES
If you're like me and want to bring home all the souvenirs, this is a great little gadget to bring along to be sure you aren't charged for going overweight. The brand I have was discontinued, but this looks pretty similar and is inexpensive.
BEACH ACCESSORIES
When my daughter and I traveled to Greece, we used our Turkish towel as a blanket on the plane and for the beach. It's much more lightweight than traditional beach towel and dries more quickly. Love that they come in so many beautiful colors and designs!
PACKING ACCESSORIES
These pouches are a perfect way to organize your chargers, makeup, and dry products such as your brush, stick deodorant, etc. In the past I would buy cute toiletry bags, but I found them to be too bulky. This is perfect if you're trying to fly with only a carry-on or save room for the more important things, like extra shoes!
ACCESSORIES
I'll never forget the first time a friend introduced me to a steamer. I haven't touched a traditional iron since! While every hotel room usually provides a traditional iron, it can take up to 3x as long to get the wrinkles out. I especially like to bring a steamer when there are several women in our group who want to touch up their dresses every night.
PERSONAL CARE
As far as I'm concerned, everyone planning to visit a tropical destination should add this to their packing list, whether or not you drink alcohol. When your daily schedule is disrupted, it's easy to forget to drink enough water no matter the situation. Best of all, you don't have to purchase expensive drinks while on vacation, and these packets come in a variety of delicious flavors!
PERSONAL CARE
Since sunscreen is so important, I'm fussy about what I use to protect my skin. Sun Bum is on the expensive side, but totally worth it. It's not greasy and it goes on without leaving a white film. Plus it's reef friendly! I never use spray sunscreen: most contain harmful nanoparticles that stick to sand and wash into the sea. And no one ever sprays it on evenly...half of it blows away in the wind.
MISC.
I absolutely adore this cute little planner! It's a great way to remember the details of your trip without spending too much time journaling. Two pages are dedicated to each day, allowing you to track things like your meals, adventures, and weather (28 days total). There are also pages dedicated to lodging and transportation information, and it's always a good idea to have those handy in case your phone dies or is lost/stolen.
MISC.
When you travel, you need to make a statement. These bright and playful tags are not only a great way to accessorize your luggage, but they'll stand out on the conveyer (if you're brave enough to check your luggage)!
PACKING ACCESSORIES
JEWELRY ORGANIZER
I love my costume jewelry and always bring multiple options to wear on trips. I tend to go back and forth on which size organizer to bring, but usually stick to this smaller one when only using a carry-on. It works well to keep your necklaces from tangling, and you can store earrings in the ring slots.
PERSONAL CARE
If you're like me and have thick, unruly hair that doesn't react well to tropical climates, you need to try this product! I actually use it every time I wash my hair because it leaves my hair smooth and soft. (Bonus tip: buy this travel size once and refill as needed with a larger container that you use at home because you need the spray nozzle!)
